1904 Silent Playmates

Silent Playmates is set in a 1904 Victorian home in San Francisco and i imagined a playmate, full of love and laughter and free spirited.  Fully accepting and just as silly and imaginative as i am.  I wanted the girls to float without fear.  The floor needed to be warped and sloped to the point of feeling uncomfortable but there is no fear when you can float.  The bird adds to the total love and acceptance for me...no fear.  I chose to cut off their heads because i love to break the rules.  I also wanted the focus to be on the lower half of the image, the bird, and the sharp detail of their dresses at the botom and the shadows on the carpet (which was really yucky in real life, ugh)
